  • CA—Community Advisor– responsibilities similar to a resident assistant working in University Apartments
  • CSIL– Center of Student Involvement and Leadership
  • FECP— Final Exam Care Package
  • HA-Hillcrest Association- hall association in Hillcrest Hall
  • HERO Training– Hall Executive Resident Officers- leadership and positional training for hall association executive board
  • HAWQ- Hall Association Working for Quad- hall association in Quadrangle Hall
  • HC -Hall Coordinator – housing professionals generally responsible for the management and daily operations of a residence halls.
  • LLC—Living Learning Communities
  • MACURH Midwest Affiliate of College and University Residence Halls - The regional business meeting and leadership conference, which involves schools from S. Dakota, N. Dakota, Missouri, Kansas, Nebraska, Minnesota, Iowa, and Canadian Providence of Manitoba
  • MayCo—Mayflower Community- hall association in Mayflower Hall
  • NACURH—National Association of College and University Residence Halls - The national business meeting and leadership conference
  • NBD National Board of Directors – NACURH
  • NCC National Communications Coordinator - This is an ARH Board of Directors who represents Univ. of Iowa at the state, regional, and national business meetings. They also coordinate conference delegations to go to state, regional and national conferences each year.
  • No-Frills—An annual business meeting for the regional and national organizations.
  • NRHH - National Residence Hall Honorary - The top 1% of students living in the residence halls. They do socials, recognition, and community activities. They also handle the OTM process.
  • OCM—On Campus Marketing.  ARH/NRHH Linens Fundraising Program
  • OSCAR Organized Stanley and Currier Associated Residents- hall association for Stanley and Currier Hall
  • OTM—Of The Months - NRHH recognition, write a brief nomination to recognize a deserving person or program!
  • RA—Resident Assistant - The person who is in charge of your floor, makes your door decs, bulletin boards, keeps everything in order, does duty rounds, and plans activities and fundraising opportunities for you.
  • RBD—Regional Board of Directors – MACURH
  • REC—Residence Education Coordinators
  • ROAR—Residents of Associated Rienow- hall association in Rienow Hall
  • SIS– Students in Service.  Monthly community service project sponsored by NRHH
  • UISG—University of Iowa Student Government- student government body for the University of Iowa.
